The learning strategy combines classroom lectures with technology-based training and hands-on experience. In 2008, nearly 40% of training was delivered outside the classroom. As part of its Always-On initiative, Alcatel-Lucent University is now looking at providing additional e-Learning offerings, streamlined catalogs and a self-service learning portal.

Receiving the CLIP (Corporate Learning Improvement Process) award, Alcatel-Lucent was one of only 14 corporate learning organizations across Europe to earn the EFMD's designation for quality.
