OmniVista 4760 Network Management for Enterprise IP Telephony

The Alcatel-Lucent OmniVista 4760 Network Management System is an innovative, modular platform that provides a suite of network management applications. This powerful Java-based tool, accessed through a Web browser, provides centralized management for the Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX Enterprise. It supports from 10 to 100,000 subscribers.


The platform's open architecture enables today's IT managers and administrators to effectively monitor and maintain the network, while lowering the company's total cost of ownership. This suite of network management applications includes LDAP Directory, Configuration Accounting/Performance Management, Alarm Notification, and Network Topology.

  • Architecture: Open, web-based architecture is accessible through a Java client or web browser. Distributed administrative access over the corporate intranet. Easily integrated into the company's legacy environment LDAP Directory: Integrated LDAP directory can be reached from any PC through a browser, from any workstation on the LAN/WAN via a directory client, or from any standard LDAP V3 client. Automatic import/export of LDIFF allows synchronization with other directories
  • Configuration: Object-oriented organization with graphical interface for all objects, including sets. The management application automatically adapts its interface to the platform being managed. Offline data can be directly imported from or exported to any application using a standard text file format
  • Accounting: Multi-currency, multi-carrier accounting: call monitoring includes a graphically illustrated cost-tracking application to limit telecom costs
  • Performance: Traffic monitoring on sets includes dialed numbers, attendants, trunks, DECT/PWT infrastructure, etc. Accounting and performance reporting application allows the user to generate predefined or customized reports. Voice over IP performance provides friendly monitoring of VoIP communication traffic and quality
  • Network Topology: Animated topology in real time provides direct access to Alcatel-Lucent OmniPCX family alarms and configuration
  • Alarm Notification: Depending on the level of severity, different color warnings can be used (ISO models). E-mails can then be sent automatically and scripts activated
