Alcatel-Lucent is committed to the ongoing identification of small and diverse suppliers that add value to our business and help us achieve long-term objectives. Recognizing that it could be difficult for a new supplier to know where and how to solicit business, a full time staff has been assigned to develop and implement our initiative.
The components of the Alcatel-Lucent Diversity Program are:
- Outreach – Actively seeking diverse suppliers through national, regional, and/or local business development organizations, and participation in various trade show activities
- Certification – Verification status
- Qualification – Review, input selected business criteria and referral for consideration
- Development – Exploring ways to provide assistance
As our manufacturing needs have changed over the past few years, we have developed, and will continue to grow, the Alcatel-Lucent TIER II program with our supply base to continue to strengthen the Alcatel-Lucent Supplier Diversity spend.
Prime suppliers are asked to honor the Alcatel-Lucent commitment to diversity by:
- Actively including qualified MWDVBEs as subcontractors/2nd Tier vendors; ensuring that MWDVBEs participants are certified
