Tamdeen Shopping Centres appoints Qualitynet and Alcatel-Lucent for managed communications services

Kuwait, October 19, 2009 - Alcatel-Lucent (Euronext Paris and NYSE: ALU) and Qualitynet, its accredited business partner in Kuwait, today announced the two companies have been selected by Tamdeen Shopping Centres Company (TSC), a subsidiary of the Tamdeen Real Estate Company, to provide full communications services for its properties, employees, customers and guests. Qualitynet will deliver the complete provisioning, deployment, management and support of Alcatel-Lucent converged IP communication and networking solutions at Al Kout Mall, Al Manshar Mall and the newly built state-of-the-art 360° MALL in Kuwait.

Under the ten-year contract, Alcatel-Lucent, through Qualitynet’s managed communications solutions offer, will provide Tamdeen Shopping Centres Company with a state-of-the-art converged communication solution that accommodates tenants’ requirements.

With the new solution, the management and tenants of the company’s malls will be able to communicate and collaborate with unparalleled security, mobility, speed and reliability that will help to increase shopper satisfaction, while lowering operational costs and improving staff productivity. Whether in the store, in the warehouse or on the move, the store manager is always reachable to satisfy customers through the integrated mobility solution. World-class integrated services include Internet, voice and data converged communications, payment gateways and security systems.
