Internships

Alcatel-Lucent offers opportunities specifically for students and/or recent graduates at certain locations. These programs provide meaningful and challenging work assignments that compliment your academic training and/or career goals. Each program culminates in a final project presentation describing the results achieved during the assignment. Upon completion of the program, interns will receive a performance assessment to measure success in achieving the project's objectives.

Students who would like to work part-time or full-time year-round and who meet our hiring criteria can participate in the Alcatel-Lucent Internship Program. Interns receive project-focused assignments and challenging objectives that are consistent with their career goals and education level.  They receive a broad orientation to Alcatel-Lucent, the specific business unit and the individual work group to which they will be contributing. Developmental opportunities may include meetings with corporate executives, various educational workshops, business unit information exchanges, networking events and facility tours.

To participate in Alcatel-Lucent's Internships you need to meet the following criteria:

• Academic Performance
  You will need to have a good academic performance.
• Country Citizenship
  You must have the right to work within the country of application. Country citizen, permanent or conditional permanent resident, temporary resident, asylee or refugee.
• Student Status
  Full-time students will be considered from any four- or five-year accredited college or university. Students must be enrolled to return as a full-time student following the internship.

Alcatel-Lucent AIESEC Global Exchange Partnership

This program helps to absorb high caliber young talents from over 80 countries into our organization. Research Partner Program

Alcatel-Lucent stimulates and facilitates R&D assignments and exchanges in order to promote closer relationships.  The company operates a global Research Partner Program to reinforce innovation efforts and sharpen its competitive edge, promoting closer long-term relationships with key universities and research institutes.

This complements and strengthens the company’s existing cooperation with numerous higher education and research centers, which will continue in parallel. In turn, Alcatel-Lucent partners have privileged access to the company's worldwide research community, their findings reach a wider audience and their image is enhanced.

This program enables Alcatel-Lucent Research and Innovation to build wider partnerships where to exchange information and identify and explore future trends in technology with a small number of world-class research partners.  The Research Partner Program is unique in offering real collaboration opportunities. Co-operative Education Program (where available)

Alcatel-Lucent's Co-operative Education Program integrates classroom studies with paid productive work experiences related to a student's academic and career goals. Alcatel-Lucent partners with educational institutions that have Co-op programs.

Students work for a full-time assignment for one semester (or one to two quarters). Students may be eligible to receive both financial compensation and academic credit for work, and may be eligible for full-time employment. The work will be evaluated by the Alcatel-Lucent supervisor, as required by the school.
