Paris, June 23 – Alcatel-Lucent (Euronext Paris and NYSE: ALU) today
announced the appointment of Christel Heydemann, as Strategic Alliance Vice
President for HP reporting to Tom Burns, President of Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise
Product Group. She will be based in California.
Last week, HP and Alcatel-Lucent announced that they have signed a
relationship agreement establishing both parties’ intent to form a 10-year
global alliance to bring new end-to-end integrated telecom and IT solutions to
the market.
In her role, Christel Heydemann will be responsible for leading, developing
and enhancing Alcatel-Lucent's strategic relationship with HP. Her focus
will be on the go-to-market activities, the development of end-to-end solutions
combining Alcatel-Lucent and HP portfolios and the alignment of Alcatel-Lucent
products and services with HP products and services. She will also put in
place the governance structure to monitor the success of the alliance.
“Christel’s new role is major as the alliance with HP will be instrumental
to the success of Alcatel-Lucent co-sourcing strategy. I am confident that she
will drive this relationship with HP forward to deliver the greatest benefits
expected by our customers and our two companies,” said Ben Verwaayen,
Alcatel-Lucent chief executive officer.
Christel Heydemann was until today the leader of the Sales Account
Management in Alcatel-Lucent France. Prior that she has been holding various
managerial positions such as key account manager for SFR and Orange among
others. She joined Alcatel-Lucent, in 1999, in the Project finance team of the
Chief Financial Office. She began her career as Analyst at the Boston
Consulting Group in Paris. She is a graduate of Ecole Polytechnique and the
Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées.
