a city or municipal government willing to revamp an existing network, or deploy a completely new telecommunication infrastructure to connect city inhabitants, businesses and government offices
a local utility company willing to leverage its assets (pipes, towers, customer base) to deploy a broadband network and create new sources of revenue

Technical Details

Supported Platforms and Databases for the Integrated Communications for Cities

Consulting and design services, which provide comprehensive planning services, from market analysis and business case development to service technical specifications, to define a viable and secure city network solution
Solution design and integration services, which address the planning, design, integration and testing of an end-to-end broadband network
Program management and third party management, which ensures that each delivery team is focused on meeting objectives for timely completion and quality results
Network deployment services, which enable a smooth build-out of the end-to-end network from initial pilots to network-wide deployments
Operation support services, which range from assistance for specific tasks, up to full operation and maintenance of the network

The complete solution also addresses backbone infrastructure requirements by incorporating Ethernet Service Switches (ESS) and service routers to aggregate traffic from access nodes. It also provides support for Internet Protocol/Multi-Protocol Label Switching (IP/MPLS) and Virtual Private LAN Service (VPLS).

Operations support system (OSS) and business support system (BSS) requirements are addressed with low-cost and easy-to-use service options that include:
